| Gene Hilton was born in Manheim and graduated from Lampeter-Strasburg High School in 1975. He has lived in Lancaster County most of his life and currently resides on the west end of Market Street in Marietta with his wife Marita and son Eric. Gene was President of USWA Local 6014 and is currently Unit Chairman of USWA Local 1035 Amalgamated. He lobbies in Washington, DC every two years for various labor causes and visits our State Representatives yearly. Locally he serves on the Lancaster Labor Council and is Secretary of the newly formed Donegal Democratic Club. |
| As a registered Democrat, Gene votes in every election. He likes to share with his neighbors updates on current legislation he receives from both Washington, DC and Harrisburg. Recently he passed along some important information about the Homestead Act. |

| Gene Hilton will honestly uphold current borough business. Being the "new kid" on the block, his views will not be influenced by old friendships or favors owed. He will add a fresh and objective perspective to the Borough Council. |
| Gene would like to see Marietta residents informed about borough issues by sending a brief, unbiased newsletter. One of his goals is to have a green way along the river after the flood controls are in place. He promises to preserve the charm and culture of this historic town. |
